VDO GP7 - Fahrrad-GPS mit neuer Deutschlandkarte und Updates
VDO hat ein umfassendes Update der Deutschland-Karte für den GP7 auf den Markt gebracht. Die Topo-D wird nun in einem Stück installiert, vorher waren es vier Regionen. Sie erhielt ein neues optisches Erscheinungsbild, zusätzlich sind Wege und Straßen und eine Unterteilung der Waldgebiete in die Kategorien Laub-, Misch- und Nadelwald, in die neue Topo-D-Karte eingeflossen. Installations- und Freischaltprozesse wurden vereinfacht. Das Update kostet 59,- Euro und kann direkt über www.vdo-gp7.com angefordert werden. Dort stehen übrigens auch Updates für den GP7 und die MapManager-Software zur Verfügung. So ist es nun möglich, den Ort direkt über die Postleitzahl zu suchen sowie während des Routings auftretende Straßensperren zu berücksichtigen. Auch die Kalibrierung des barometrischen Höhenmessers ist über eine Shortcut Funktion direkt möglich. Im Display können mit dem Update mehrere Tracks gleichzeitig angezeigt werden, und auch die Anzeigefarbe der Tracks ist individuell einstellbar. Neben der verbesserten Zoomfähigkeit des Kartenausschnitts wurden zudem der Algorithmus zum Empfang der GPS-Signale und die Routenplanung verfeinert.
